MAX - ADOPTED!

Meet Max, a 1 1/2 year old large male German Shepherd. He is a goofy, affectionate boy who loves everyone he meets.  He’s the perfect wingman for an experienced German Shepherd owner.

Max’s life had been a difficult one prior to coming into rescue.  It took him a while to learn to trust people again.  We are so happy with his progress and so proud of Max  because he has turned his life around and is enjoying his foster family.

​

Max recently attended an adoption event and he was the life of the party.  He greeted everyone in his very energetic manner.  He was enjoying all the attention.  

​

Max walks well on leash and enjoys exploring. He is independent minded and enjoys his sniffing and ball play.  He is also incredibly intelligent and loyal, so we expect he will come to enjoy many activities with an experienced GSD owner. Because of his size, Max will not be adopted into a home with children under age 16, although he does like children.

​

Max is dog friendly.  He enjoys meeting dogs and is being fostered with several German shepherds.   However,  Max would like to be the only dog in the home so he can get the love and attention he missed out on in his previous life.

​

Max is a medium-energy dog. He LOVES, LOVES to play ball each day and he really looks forward to that time.  After ball play, he enjoys lounging around his yard and just chewing and throwing his ball to self play.  A secure yard with a 6-foot fence is a must.

​

Max is a good-hearted boy, playful and goofy who has been through some tough times. He has come so far from his past and deserves a loving home where he will truly thrive.  Max needs an experienced owner who can give him focused time and attention and who understands that all young German Shepherds look to their people for guidance and instruction. Given his intelligence and loyalty, Max will grow to be an adoring and devoted companion to someone who can show him leadership and love.

Max is neutered, up to date on vaccines, on monthly heart worm preventative, crate and basic obedience trained.
